Peninsula Regional Medical Center is sponsoring diabetes education class sessions during the months of April and May to discuss nutrition, foot care, glucose monitoring, exercise and other self-management skills to help assist with diabetes control. An evening class session will meet on five consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning April 9 and ending May 7. An afternoon class session will meet on five consecutive Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. beginning April 10 and ending May 8. A nurse and a registered dietitian, who are both certified diabetes instructors, will teach all classes, which are held at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Registration is required. The cost of the five-week program may be reimbursed by your insurance.
