To address the critical need for behavioral health services in our community, Peninsula Regional Medical Center is establishing a Behavioral Health Service Line.

Behavioral Health includes mood disorders, personality disorders, psychiatric disorders, eating disorders, addictions and some geriatric cognitive disorders.

We are pleased to announce that we have raised the first $1 million of our campaign, and Peninsula Regional Medical Center now has the funds to renovate and increase capacity in the adult inpatient unit.

The Medical Center has entered into a collaborative agreement with Adventist HealthCare Behavioral Health & Wellness Services in which Adventist will provide three child psychiatrists on site at Peninsula Regional. This will allow for the evaluation, diagnosis and outpatient treatment of patients who are 17 and under. An area with the Medical Center has been designated for this purpose. We are excited to say the Rebecca & Leighton Moore Child & Adolescent Outpatient Unit is now open.

We are now asking for your assistance to raise an additional $2.5 million. This money will be used for recruitment incentives, equipment, additional support for adolescents and children, additional support for adult inpatient and outpatient needs and behavior health services, education and community outreach.
