The Diabetes Education Program offers a comprehensive program of group and individual educational sessions for people with diabetes. Our Diabetes Self-Management Program meets the criteria and is recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Our program staff includes Certified Diabetes Educators, Nurses and Registered Dietitians.

The Diabetes Education Program regularly offers a class series, available in evening or day sessions, that provides information on nutrition, foot care, blood glucose monitoring, exercise, and other self-management skills to help people with diabetes control their disease. Please call for more information.

Medical Nutrition Therapy services are provided by the Registered Licensed Dietitian. Meet with the dietitian to develop an individualized plan to manage diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, early kidney disease, weight management or healthy eating. Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes and early kidney disease is a Medicare benefit. Many insurances cover Medical Nutrition Therapy. Initial appointments are 90 minutes with follow up appointments available.

Individual instruction for blood glucose monitoring, Byetta, Victoza, Symlin, or insulin injections can also be provided. We also offer a Pediatric program and a Gestational program.

Support groups meet regularly for people with diabetes, as well as for kids and teens with diabetes.
