Peninsula Regional Medical Center is happy to offer a patient-centered, family-friendly visiting policy to promote a positive healing environment and experience while protecting the safety and privacy of our patients.

Patient Information

To check on a loved one's condition, please call 410-546-6400 and press 5 for Patient Information. You may ask to be transferred to the patient's room phone or to the patient's nurse for an update on their condition. To protect our patients' privacy, we may not always be able to share this information.

Visiting Hours

PRMC regular visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. seven days a week. A few specialized care areas still maintain their own visiting hours for patient safety. Please see the nurse upon arrival for additional information. In situations where you must visit before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m., please report to the Emergency Department entrance; other entrances will be locked. There, with the permission of the patient's charge nurse, you may receive a temporary badge sticker. Please be prepared to show ID. This is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

Our Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units welcome a support person for patients in their units at any time. Entry after 8 p.m. is also through the Emergency Department for those patients heading to Labor & Delivery.

Please, for our patients' safety, if you have a cold, cough or infectious illness, do not visit. You may send an e-greeting by clicking here. The number of visitors and the length of the visit may be determined by our care team in collaboration with the patient and the family based on the patient’s condition, preference and need.

For everyone's safety, please do not bring weapons of any kind, including knives, into the medical center.
