Newlyweds Jasmine Blake and Adam Parks hold their newborn baby girl on Monday, August 27, at Peninsula Regional.

More proof that babies will come when they are ready and not when we're ready for them! Jasmine Blake and Adam Parks were planning to go to the courthouse to get married on Monday, but their baby had other plans. When Jasmine went into labor on Sunday evening they were thinking about putting their plans on hold, but decided that it was important to them that they be married before their bundle of joy entered the world. Peninsula Regional's Pastoral Care Department was able to marry the couple at 11:30 p.m. Sunday,  just a few hours before Jasmine gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at about 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning. The new Parks family will be celebrating August 26 and 27 for their anniversary and little one's birthday. Congratulations to the happy couple and new parents, and thanks to the Labor and Delivery team their quick thinking and for making the call, and to the Pastoral Care team for stepping up to the challenge of a wedding on Labor and Delivery.
