Nearly 12 percent of the adult population of Wicomico County has diabetes, according to Peninsula Regional Medical Center's Creating Healthy Communities database. If you're concerned about your risk of developing diabetes - it can be influenced both by genetics and lifestyle - click here to visit the sign-up page for a Weight Management/Pre-Diabetes Program that will teach you how to develop healthy eating habits and lead a more active lifestyle.
