doctor's dayOn March 30, 1842, the first general anesthetic was used in surgery. This leap forward in patient care is emblematic of the interest physicians take in their patients' well-being, which is why March 30 was chosen as National Doctors Day.

Doctors Day is a celebration to recognize and show appreciation for the highly skilled professionals who make care and healing their priority. Peninsula Regional Medical Center is honored to have hundreds of members of our medical staff who serve patients in dozens of different specialties. On Doctors Day, we thank all of those physicians who are making a difference in our community.
