Peninsula Regional Medical Center - Part of Peninusula Regional Health System

Women's and Children's Services

Family-Centered Care

As a family-centered Medical Center, we celebrate one of the most joyous occasions as we assist in the birth of a baby. In fact, more than 2,000 babies are born into our community at Peninsula Regional each year. With maternity services dedicated to the entire family unit, our professional staff can address the family's complete medical, personal and emotional needs.

Special Care In A Family-Friendly Place

Special people understand the special needs of sick children. Our medical professionals in Pediatrics are those special people.

In 2010, Peninsula Regional launched a collaboration with Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Children's National pediatric hospitalists (hospital-based pediatricians) and neonatologists (physicians specializing in treating premature and sick babies) are now available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and every day of the year at PRMC. Those doctors, working closely with the Medical Center's outstanding clinical teams to provide patient-centered, family-first care in Peninsula Regional's Pediatric Unit and Special Care Nursery, are also close by for consultation on any pediatric illnesses or injuries needing immediate attention in PRMC's Emergency/Trauma Center.
