PLUS Volunteer Services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center recently held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet in conjunction with National Volunteer Week 2013.
The Medical Center paid tribute to the over 200 PLUS Volunteers at Peninsula Regional who donated over 44,000 hours of their time in calendar year 2012. In the 43 year existence of the PLUS Volunteer Program at Peninsula Regional, nearly 1.8 million total volunteer hours have been provided to the Medical Center, its staff, patients and their families.
Also honored were the 115 PLUS Volunteers who have reached LIFE status in the organization by donating 15 or more years of service to Peninsula Regional. Among them were the four 2013 inductees: Bill Horstman, Sharon Palmer, Nola Hearn and Anna Lee Shockley. Eleanor Hoekstra, Robert Hoekstra and Cyvia Marmer all earned an honorary life membership status at the banquet for their service.
