Osteoporosis Evaluation and Treatment Bone loss due to osteoporosis can leave older women especially susceptible to bone breakage. Our bone densitometry equipment, known as DEXA, or Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry, performs a simple and painless test to tell how strong your bones are. While you lie still on a comfortable, padded table, our DEXA unit scans one or more areas of your bone, measuring the density and mineral content. With this information, your physician can diagnose and effectively treat osteoporosis.
Continence Evaluation and Treatment Urinary incontinence or involuntary loss of urine can affect women at different times of their lives for a number of reasons. Assessment offered by Women's Services can help to determine the type of incontinence you are experiencing and the proper treatment. If you are experiencing urinary leakage or urgency, there is help for you. Our integrated program provides evaluation and coordinates necessary treatment such as physical therapy, nutritional counseling and any needed referral to specialists.
