Inpatient

Respiratory therapists provide education and bedside instruction on all therapeutic modalities offered, including educational materials describing respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD.

Outpatient

The Respiratory Care Department is also involved in improving our community.  The department, along with the respiratory program at Salisbury University, sponsors an annual Camp Huff & Puff for asthmatic children at the university.  The department also has an overnight stay at the Salisbury Zoo for children with asthma.

Through the American Lung Association's Open Airways Program, we also help teach elementary school children with asthma about their condition and how to live with it.
