Therapies

Oxygen Therapy - Our respiratory therapists administer oxygen therapy utilizing different delivery devices such as nasal cannulas and oxygen masks.  They also utilize equipment to monitor oxygen saturation to begin the weaning process to safely reduce or discontinue the use of oxygen.

Bronchial Hygiene Therapy - Our therapists utilize chest physiotherapy, mechanical devices and positive expiratory pressure therapy to mobilize thick, retained secretions and to reduce pulmonary infiltrates.  Our respiratory therapists deliver medication utilizing nebulizers, metered dose inhalers and dry powered inhalers to relieve airway obstruction and to promote airway clearance.  Incentive spirometry is also used to effectively achieve maximal alveolar inflation to prevent and/or correct atelectasis.  Our respiratory therapists are dedicated to achieving quality care through the use of our RT driven assessment protocol.
